I have reviewed the Etude House Dear My Crystal Gloss CRD301 recently and I thought of reviewing the shade COR201 today since I have a little bit of difference in opinion on these glosses. As I mentioned in my review of CRD301, the formula is the same but the color payoff and pigmentation is really different and that is why I decided to review these glosses separately. Read on to find how I liked this Etude House lip gloss!
Product: Etude House Dear My Crystal Gloss COR201
Claim: A moisturizing range of shimmering glosses with natural-looking color.
Quantity: 4.5 g
Price: 6000 KRW (~6$)
I originally bought this shade since I really wanted to try more glosses and just happened to like how this shade looked in the packagin (I should have seen my own Dear My Crystal Gloss swatch post or swatched it in the store before buying). Because…
The color of this gloss looks an orange-y coral in the packaging but it shows up like nothing on my lips. I was expecting a my-lips-but-better shade but instead I ended up with my-lips-sparkle shade and not in a very good way. I do like to use it on days I just want to keep the best nude lips shade in the world for me – my natural lip colors, but no color payoff is a bummer for me. I think the color may not even show up on lighter lips.
The sheer color payoff however works well when paired with other lipsticks. If I use a lipstick that is a bit too loud or cool toned (or both), I use this gloss to make it a bit warmer (to suit my NC35 complexion) and of course give the “crystal-like shine”.
The gloss comes with a doe foot applicator which is pretty standard with lip glosses, nothing to write home about. I do like the bottle because it looks nice and sturdy for travel plus the gloss does not spill out while opening or closing the gloss (happens with some of my other drugstore glosses).

I have already posted the swatches of all the Dear My Crystal Gloss shades I could find in the stored right now, see it here. I have never completely used up a gloss and I have plenty of new ones to try so I may not be repurchasing even my favorite lip glosses but even if I get an option, this will not be on my list.
It is not a bad gloss, the formula is good but I just expect more from my lip glosses! Since I have seen all the shades in the store, I recommend shade CRD301 in this range of lip glosses especially for people with medium to dark skintones and/or pigmented lips.
