Etude House Baking Powder range needs no introduction. It is one of their well-known range that is doing well. I have tried the face washes from this range – the Baking Powder Cleansing Foam Moist and the Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam (read the reviews here and here). I have also done a comparison post between the two cleansing foams. Since I enjoyed using both of the cleansing foams, I picked up the Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Cream too. I have been using it for quite sometime so here is the review!

The Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Cream comes in a plain white plastic tub with a blue twist-open lid. The color scheme of the packaging is exactly like the Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam. The cream is white in color and smells pleasantly citrus. Since I am a huge fan of orange and lemon scents, this is particularly appealing to me.
One of the main ingredients of this product is Baking Powder, as if I even had to say that, which is usually considered drying for skin. Since I have really dry skin with drier spots (yay me!) I can attest to the fact that this cream is not drying to the skin. For some reason, an ingredient or a group of ingredients complement the effect of baking powder.
This cleansing cream contains mineral oil, lemon peel oil, orange peel oil, beeswax. It does not have any added fragrance or color. I think the main selling point for me is that this is free of alcohols, added fragrance and color. However, it does contain Mineral oil.
I have used this product all summer and autumn before switching to Nature Republic Natural Fermentation Aloe Cleansing Cream (which I will be reviewing in another couple of weeks. This cleanser was able to melt off makeup off my face, leaving no residue behind once I washed my face, my only issue was with waterproof mascara and eyeliner on the waterline. I used an oil based cleanser to remove my mascara or Etude House Eraser Show Mascara cleaner (review coming up soon). I liked this product for the quality, effectiveness and affordable price!
Rating: 4/5
Recommend: Yes. If you are into efficient cleansers and are not allergic/sensitive to Baking Powder, and love citrus scents, you might enjoy using this cleansing cream. If you predominantly wear waterproof makeup (mascara, eyeliner etc.) this may not work for you!
Repurchase: Maybe. I want to experiment with more oil-based cleansers and I also want to try more brands so I this is not on top of my to-buy list.
