Dramatic Winged EyeLiner Tutorial for Hooded Eyes (+FOTD, Video)
Hi everyone, so I have been in a mood to do makeup tutorials these days. And recently I took to experimenting with my eyeliner. It gets really difficult to try various kinds of eyeliner looks with hooded eyes. And with age this is going to get even more difficult to do winged eyeliner for hooded eyes. So I decided to try out a few tricks to make my eyes look bigger and sharper with a winged liner. I usually go for the cat eyeliner look which is more stylish and wearable than this look but it is really fun. I had nowhere to go after doing this look so I skipped the false lashes but this kind of eye look looks fabulous and 100 times more gorgeous with false lashes. This look can also be carried out for non-hooded eyes. So let’s get started!

Dramatic Winged Liner Tutorial:
Step 1: Create a good base for the eyeshadow with an eyeprimer and then use a netural eyeshadow like MAC Brule to cover the entire lid.
Step 2: Line the eyes using a black eyeliner. Stop at the point where you end the wing of your eyeliner, curve it inwards. Keep it at an angle above your crease to create the look of a lifted crease. And slowly bring it in to join it with the crease. This will create the illusion of bigger eye socket.
Step 3: Blend the eyeliner for a more smoky look. This will also make it last longer. I like to use transfer proof eyeliner for this look. I used the SUGAR Stroke of Genius Heavy-duty Kohl in Back to Black for this look.
Step 4: Line the inner corners and bring it under the waterline using a smudging brush. This will create a smoky look and also make the eyes appear bigger.
Step 5: Use a skin colored eyeliner to line the waterline and use a metallic eyeliner under the lower lashline. I used my Misslyn Skin Corrector 3 and The Body Shop Metallic Eye Definer in 13 Burnished Copper.
Step 6: Curl your lashes and apply generous coats of mascara. I have been testing out the Maybelline the Magnum Barbie mascara.
Step 7: After the bold winged liner, the most important thing is a good concealer. Since I have bluish dark circles, I used my MAC Select Cover Up corrector. Set it with a powder (I didn’t since I was going to apply a layer of my foundation over this.
Step 8: Apply a dewy-finish foundation for a glamorous look. I used my The Face Shop Screen Cell Cushion Foundation for this.
Step 9: Bold brows compliment bold eyeliner so I used my Etude House Drawing Eye Brow pencil to draw and fill in my brows.
Step 10: Apply any light blush to the cheeks, I wanted a more natural look so I chose my ArtDeco Blusher in 07.
Step 11: I chose not to contour and went straight to my lips and added a muted pink shade. I feel for medium skintones like ours, medium and muted shades work best with bold eyeliner looks. So I used Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Devotion.
