It’s Throwback Thursday time and I’m so happy to get a chance to talk about my absolute favorite scent – Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Edt. I just love the citrus scent and packaging of Light Blue. It is my go-to perfume.

I have already consumed three 30 ml bottles in the past 4 years. I use perfume every single day I go out, even if I am going for only grocery shopping. I can skip makeup but never perfume. I’m not a deo-girl and I am always on hunt for a new scent in the market.

I had never tried any of the Dolce & Gabbana products till 2009 when I received it as a gift from my then boyfriend (now husband) for my birthday. It was the first time he had bought me something on his own. He was in Sweden during my birthday so he gave it to me when he returned. I was surprised to see him choosing something so ‘Me’ without any help.
Later he admitted on getting a recommendation from the staff at the department store in Sweden. Anyway, I fell in love with it instantly. I kept it like my most prized possession because of its obvious monetary and emotional value. Consequently, it lasted me for 18 months. I used it sparingly. Then one day, I dropped it the bottle on my bed accidentally and it started leaking.
There must have been 1/3 rd of the perfume left but it all vaporized slowly and the next time I opened it, I saw the bottle completely empty. I believed at if my world had ended. I mourned the loss for a few hours and still kept the bottle on my dresser.
Almost a year later, I bought a new bottle and swore to use it just like any other thing I use every day. I loved the scent so much, I went ahead and bought a Light Blue body gel to compliment my perfume.

The duo lasted me another 15 months and worked great. I think it is all about how a fragrance responds to your chemistry and fortunately, I and Light Blue have a fabulous chemistry!

I definitely recommend to everyone who like refreshing citrus scents. This would be a perfect summer perfume, I’d wear it all-year round but I know I like it more in summer.

I do think a body cream/gel in same fragrance as the perfume gives more lasting effect to the perfume. I like using two products with the same scent together especially for special occasions.
