Curvy Fashion: Waiting for Winter!

Curvy Fashion: Waiting for Winter! (Makeup and Outfit)

Hi everyone, how are you doing today? I am waiting for the actual winter in Delhi. Even though the weather changed after Diwali, I think the winter that encourages winter clothing is still somewhere far away. However, as impatient as I am, I cannot wait anymore to bring out my winter clothes and accessories. I have few of them but they still deserve a chance to come out albeit for three months only. So despite the absence of “real” winter, I dressed up today for it. Of course, I got a few photos clicked without the sweater as well since I was feeling hot (haha). Hope you like this first winter dressing outfit post!

Boots: Ginger (Lifestyle stores)
Watch: Titan Raga Flora (Chrysanthemum)
Rose Gold Accessories: Naughty Cat (South Korea)

Mostly, I like to stay “au naturelle” (I like to take care of my skin) but occasionally I do feel like doing makeup and going out. As a person who cooks for a family of five and has a full-time job in India, doing makeup everyday is a distant dream. Sometimes I manage my time well and get to fulfil this little dream of mine. I had one of those days this week and got ready for office like I really want to- with a nice outfit and full face of makeup.

It’s not really cold but we love winter, don’t we?

I put on one of my favourite dresses of all time, a floral print black dress from H&M. I have had this since 2010! I have gained and lost weight since then but never got the courage to let this dress go. I love the flowy fabric, tiny floral print and of course the color black! I have worn it to a blogger event in the past as well. The red tank top underneath the dress is also from H&M. I hate the super deep neckline of this dress but the V neck (they say) is good for busty women like yours truly so I just go with it.
Since it is a bit cold, even though winter is not here, I paired this dress with a pair of black tights. I also put on a chunky knit back shrug to keep me warm in the morning and evening. I wanted to start wearing boots and I did. I bought these recently from Ginger (Lifestyle stores). I have always had black boots for winter so I thought of picking something different. My gut instinct wanted me to go for black boots for this outfit but I resisted from falling back into the old patterns and put on these!

Leaning on the wall 😉 Love keeping sweaters resting on my shoulders even though it doesn’t work on my body frame

I accessorised in rose-gold accessories. The dainty necklace, earrings and watch are all in the same tone. I love my Titan Raga Flora watch the most. I won it in a contest last year so it is extra special for me. I could have picked up silver, gunmetal or gold accessories but I picked rose gold simply because my makeup was going to be in complementing shades (using L’Oreal Paris La Nude Palette – 01 Rose).
I went with a red lipstick to complete the look since it is a great color for winter. I think the shade Blaze of Red from the L’Oreal Moist Matte lipstick range is a great red lipstick for Indian skintone. I got it as a part of the L’Oreal Festive Fever collection. Black on black is my most worn color combination. Because everything goes with black, even black!
