Plus-size Indian Fashion Blogger: 8 Everyday Outfits
Hi everyone. If you have been following this blog for a while, you know that I started sharing fashion posts in the last quarter of 2015. I have always loved dressing up but I never considered myself as a fashionista. However, I felt like giving a new dimension to the blog and share my outfits (I still do not consider myself as an Indian fashion blogger yet). So this year, I got ready on many occasions and even managed to get my photos clicked in different outfits.
Some were simple ones meant for shopping sprees, office while a couple were for wedding related parties. For one reason or another, these outfits never made it to the blog posts. There were lighting problems, makeup problems or just too few good photos to choose from. That is why I thought of compiling a post for these random everyday outfits.
Outfit 1: Ready for a Wedding Reception

Saree: Soch (Forum Mall, Bengaluru)
Heels: Carlton London
I got this saree way back in 2009 and have worn it a few times since then. I got plenty of photos clicked in this outfit but all of them turned out to be a bit blurry (thank you Mr. Hubster). This was the only one I liked. I got a waterfall braid to complement this outfit.
Outfit 2: All set for a Sangeet ceremony

Anarkali suit: Faizal’s (Commercial street, Bengaluru)
Silver Flats: Limeroad
I love this Spanish style Turquoise Anarkali. It is the kind of shade that is unique when I sport it at a party. I also love the Swarovski embellishments on this suit. I normally wear heels with Indian outfits like these but since we were going to be dancing, I wanted to wear something more comfortable. These Limeroad silver flats were perfect for that. I did not end up liking the hair so ended up twisting it in a bun later.
Outfit 3: Experimenting with my looks

Pink dress: Global Desi
Black tights: H&M
Black Stilettoes: Tresmode
2 braids don’t really work for me but what the heck! I have sported this pink dress on three different occasions and tried to create a different look each time. I share the first look wearing this Global Desi dress a few months ago on the blog as well.
Outfit 4: Coming back from a Birthday Party (Lunch)

Black Top: H&M
Powder Pink Jeggings: H&M
Sandals: Eliza Donatein
Got these powder pink jeggings and sequin pineapple top from H&M and sported it for my father’s birthday lunch the next day! We had a huge buffet so I looked a lot bloated and sleepy in the photos haha! The makeup has also faded a bit. I love to pair black and pink a lot.
Outfit 5: Another experiment with this Global Desi slit dress.
Dress: Global Desi
Jeans: Levi’s 310
Ballet Flats: Westide
Loved the color of this dress but not the fit. But it’s pink and has slits so I had to wear it to dress and up and do makeup even though I had nowhere to go. This is again a kind of fusion outfit that I created. There are fewer chances of you seeing me wearing something like this in public hehe!
Outfit 6: Ready for Shopping at the mall

Dress: Westside
Black ankle cut tights: Zara
Black Wedges: Solovoga
One of my favorite dresses from Westside, I have worn it a billion times to office, friend’s home or for shopping. it is quite comfortable and also fits me well. It is stretchy so I have gotten a good use out of it despite my weight loss. It still fits me nicely. Here I wore to a mall for some serious shopping. I like my hair in this particular photo. I wanted to do a separate blogpost for this dress but all of the pics from this shoot turned out to be a bit hazy 🙁
Outfit 7: My Punjaban Look

Polka Dot Navy Dress: Random (South Korea)
Black ankle cut tights: Zara
Handbag: Random (Sector 22, Chandigarh)
Sunglasses: Vogue Eyewear
Black Punjabi Jutti: Random (Sector 22, Chandigarh)
On my Lips: MAC Lip Liner – Russian red
My love for Punjabi Jutti is eternal. Finally got one in black! And this bag is something that my sister got for herself and I “added it to my look” for this day. This was going to be a normal visit to the mall so I did not get many photos taken and this is one of the few pics I liked.
Outfit 8: Ready for office on a Friday morning

Blue Bell-sleeve Top: Zara
Black Jeans: Westside
Sports Shoes: Fila
On my lips: L’Oreal Paris Infallible mega Gloss (Dazzle)
Peach college bag: Random (Sector 22, Chandigarh)
Just ready for office with no time for a breather. I usually wake up a 5.30 am and leave for office (after doing the household chores and getting ready) at 7.45 am. I usually have little time to get ready but if I feel good, I get a photo taken for the blog. Typical! Here’s a casual Friday outfit.
All of these outfits have been shot sometime in 2016 right from February to last week. I wanted to share these to keep a record of my journey. I hope you liked this little collection of totally random outfit posts. These are the kind of outfits you will actually see me wearing based on the occasion and situation. This is the real girl fashion!
