I have been using my Cottage Vanilla Gentle Exfoliating Shower Gel for a few weeks now and I am ready with a proper review! I bought this Cottage Shower Scrub from Olive Young a few months ago. Since I do not like to scrub my body everyday, I used to use this once a week during summer. When I got It’s Skin body Scrub, my Cottage Vanilla Exfoliating shower gel gathered dust in my cupboard until November. I have been using ever since I ran out of my It’s Skin Body Scrub.

I have dry facial skin and scalp but the rest of my skin is normal. I like to apply body lotion during summer and body oils during winter after taking a shower but  rarely scrub my body. And I ensure to scrub it at most once a week and thrice a month in winter, but I do scrub upto 8 times in summer. This routine works well for me. And whether it is my face or body, I only like using gentle scrubs. I never go for chunky abrasive scrubs.
So when I saw this exfoliating shower gel, I knew it was right up my alley. I like sweet scents but they have to be tastefully done!
This shower gel has a very runny consistency and smells very sweet and not just simple vanilla. It is a little complex vanilla scent I think. I would compare the scent intensity to the one in Snow Fairy by Lush.
The scrub particles are really tiny and sparse so if you are looking for a heavy-duty body scrub, this is not for you. However for everyday/regular use, this works really well with a loofah.
I really like the smell that lingers after using this shower gel. I have had no skin irritation or any other problem with this scrub.

I would like to try out more shower gels from this brand as the Cottage Vanilla Gentle Exfoliating Shower Gel is the first product I tried from the brand. I am quite interested in their shower oils! Cottage products are available in South Korea, China, Europe, South America and parts of Africa.
