Hi everyone! Today I am going to review the Chanel Illusion D’Ombre eyeshadow in Eptant. I love Chanel, which not come as a surprise for regular readers of this makeup and beauty blog! I confess my bias for Chanel very often. It is one of the only high-end brands I gravitate towards when I am in a mood to buy luxury goods. So here is my review of Chanel Eptant eyeshadow.
Product Claim: This intensely shimmering long-wear eyeshadow offers true versatility. An innovative gel texture that is both soft and cushion-y, allows it to be worn as eyeshadow or eyeliner.
Product Extras: Includes a specially designed shadow/liner brush, developed specifically for this unique formula.
Price: 36$
Another Chanel item that I go as a gift from my husband and it was an accident! When my husband was coming back from Sweden, he asked if I wanted anything. Being a dutiful wife 😉 I asked for a Chanel eyeshadow – actually I had seen Chanel eyeshadows in Sweden which were in fluid form and settled very beautifully but because of some confusion or communication gap (guys never listen!) he got me this. I had no idea what this was but I kept my confusion in control and thanked him. Luckily this turned out so great or he would have been punished for life. haha!
Story over. Review time!
Eptant is a beautiful vintage looking metallic light jungle green. I am sorry of I didn’t describe it well but this the best definition I could come up with. But this is a unique shade and looks really good on the eyes.
Some of the key features of Chanel Eptant (Illusion D’Ombre Eyeshadow):
- Easy to apply.
- Easy to blend
- Easy to build and intensify
- Can be worn alone without any other eyeshadow
- The texture is really nice and there are no fall-outs while applying
- Long-lasting. Lasts upto 12 hours very nicely
- Does not settle into lines at all (just pat it well while applying)
- Does not fade a lot (even if it does, it looks beautiful)
- Does not smudge once it settles
- Does not need a primer (yay!)
I think it one of the most beautiful shades of eyeshadow I have ever used. It looks very flattering on most eye-colors and skin-tones too. The other shades look so beautiful and tempting! I want to try the rose-gold shade which I think is called 86 Ebloui.

I definitely think anyone looking for a luxury worth-the-money single eyeshadow should try out Chanel Illusion D’Ombre eyeshadows. They were released in the fall of 2011 and new colors are launched with Chanel’s new collections, they also have a few shades in their regular line. Chanel Eptant is in their regular line I think.
Have you tried Chanel makeup products? Do you like Chanel D’Ombre eyeshadows?
