C.A.L Los Angeles Love Affair Matte Lipstick – Review, Swatches, Price in India!

Hi everyone, today I am finally going to review a makeup product. I received this lipstick in my October FabBag and have been trying this ever since. I am talking about the C.A.L Los Angeles Intense lipstick. I received the shade “Kareena” which was labelled as “03 Mulberry Purple” on the gold cardboard packaging the lipstick came in. Here is the detailed review of this CAL lipstick.

Claim: The long-wearing stay-true formula glides on easily with a light-weight creamy texture for rich colour impact that lasts, plus it won’t feather or bleed. This lipstick provides instant moisture and is fragrance-free. The Vitamin E and Vitamin C derivatives in it help defend against wrinkle-causing free radicals.

C.A.L Los Angeles Intense Matte lipstick comes in a gold plastic packaging with the brand name printed in black on it. The click of the lipstick is not that strong as some other lipsticks but it will not open even if you throw it in your purse for reapplication.

The scent of the lipstick is not very strong but it is not very pleasant either. The scent is not a big deal for me, however,  I would still prefer a lipstick smelling nicer than this one does.

The texture of the lipstick is a bit dry but it goes well on the lips. It does not really glide like many other matte lipsticks but it builds on the lips evenly. One swipe gives a nice color payoff.  Two swipes give a nice opaque finish.
The lipstick is not completely dry but it does settle a bit after application. It stays well for about 4 hours on me before vanishing off from the centre of the lips. This lipstick does transfer.

The C.A.L Los Angeles Intense Matte lipstick is also known as the C.A.L Los Angeles Love Affair lipstick. The labelling is also different as the shade names are different in India. The color I have is #3.

It does not streak or feather out after application. It does not leave a stain behind. Despite being matte, this lipstick does not dry out the lips. For the price,  I think CAL Intense Matte lipstick is a nice one to try out. The shades are nice and I love the shade I have. It is great for all seasons and is also office-appropriate. I highly recommend it.
