Brihans and Patanjali Aloe Vera Gel – Review, Comparison

Patanjali  Aloe Vera Gel and Brihans Green Leaf Aloe Vera Gel: Comparison and Review

Aloe vera is a healing plant. The gel derived from its leaves is used to deal with various skin issues and health problems. During periods, natural aloe vera gel is consumed to control the heavy flow. I love aloe vera gel; I even have an aloe vera plant at home. I use aloe vera to clean my scalp and also my skin. It can be a bit of a task to grow an aloe vera plant and squeeze out the gel from the leaves frequently for use so I prefer store-bought aloe vera gels. They are convenient to use and are travel-friendly too. Today I am excited to share my reviews of the Patanjali Aloe Vera gel and Brihan’s Green Leaf Aloe Vera gel. I am also going to compare them side by side. Keep reading for more details:

It is 99 % Aloe vera gel. I have been using this daily at morning and night as a moisturizer for the last 8 to 9 weeks. It works really well. It is inexpensive and can be used by itself or mixed with face masks and hair packs. Patanjali Aloe Vera gel contains Vitamin E making it a great moisturizer. It is a fantastic addition to skincare.

Brihan’s Green Leaf Aloe Vera gel

Product: Brihans Green Leaf Aloe Vera Gel
Price: 100 INR
Quantity: 120 g
Ingredients: Aloe vera 90% , base and preservatives q.s, color
Brihans Aloe Vera gel comes in a clear plastic tube with a white twist open lid. The packaging is cute but not hygienic as you need to dip your finger to take out the product. The aloe vera gel is green in color.
The brand has endorsed this as a multi-purpose product, however, I used this for some months as my moisturizer only. Sometimes I also use this for my wounds. It is very cooling to the skin but does not contain Vitamin E. I have dry skin and it has worked pretty well for me this summer.

Brihan’s Green Leaf Aloe Vera gel

Both the Patanjali Aloe vera gel and Brihans Green Leaf Aloe vera gel serve the same purpose and also contain added color. I would prefer Patanjali aloe vera gel out of the two because it comes in a tube and is hygienic. The packaging is travel-friendly and it makes my skin really soft.
Editor’s Note: Thank you for the detailed review and comparison post, Suzanna. I have used the Brihan’s Green Leaf Aloe Vera gel before and also natural aloe vera gel. Natural Aloe vera gel gives a cooling sensation to the skin but it is not as pronounced as the store-bought varieties. I think many of the packaged Aloe vera gels have a bit of menthol or something because of which they impart a more noticeable cooling sensation. I think Aloe vera gel works best for oily and normal skin types, I have dry skin so I only use it during summer. Good to know that the Patanjali Aloe Vera Gel contains Vitamin E. It might turn out to be more moisturizing than normal aloe vera gel. Out of Aloe based products, I really love The Body Shop Aloe Gentle Facial Wash.
