This post marks the culmination of my 2013 favorites. I did the posts in 3 different sections – beauty (skincare and body), hair, makeup and nails. I shared my favorite beauty products of 2013 in this post, best hair products I used in 2013 here and today, I am going to share my favorite makeup and nail products from 2013!
(This is not going to be a comprehensive post!)

BB Cream/ Foundation/Powder

Skin79 Super+ Beblesh Balm: I started using BB creams in 2013 and after trying a few drugstore ones from Nature Republic, Etude House and The Face Shop, I fell in love with the perfect BB cream ever – The Skin79 Super+ Beblesh Balm! It is brightening, has SPF and blends smoothly! The best part is there are no shades for different skin tones, this grey toned Bb cream suits everyone (a couple of my friend who have different skintones use this too)!
Missha M Sheer Mineral Powder foundation: A perfect powder to wear over concealer on the foundation/bbcream-less days and perfect to even out skin tone, set cream products! There are only 2 shades available in Korean Missha stores, #21 and #23 (21 which is lighter somehow suits me more). There are plently of shades available online!

Eyeshadow

Chanel Quad in 94 Reflets and Maybelline Color Tattoo in 40 Tenacious teal and 25 Bad to the Bronze are my most used, dependable and hence, favorite eyeshadows from 2013. I have worn Maybelline color tattoos a lot in the last quarter of 2013. Nothing else stays put on my oily eyelids!

Eyeliner

Pencil liners:
The Face Shop Make Me Star Gel Liner pencils are my favorite to add some zing to my eye look. They are very pigmented, easy to apply (creamy) and set to a glossy finish making your eyes look sultry and awake (Weird word choice, I know)!
My favorite shades are – Green (05), Indigo Blue (03), Disco Purple (04)
Black eyeliner favorite for the past 3 years has been Chanel Stylo Gel Liner pencil in 10 Ebéne.
Liquid Liners:
I have loved L’Oreal Paris Carbon Black Eye liner for more than a couple of years and this year also it tops my list in the favorites list followed closely by Etude House Oh M’ Eye liner in black!
Gel Liner:
For gel liner I loved the Midnight Blue shade by Holika Holika. It has not dried a lot yet and goes on well on my eyes. Wish it came with a brush too!

Brow pencil

The Face Shop Make My Eyebrow all the way. It is the only eyebrow product I bought and I did not feel the need to try out a new one!

Mascara

I did not try too many mascaras in 2013. It was only Oriflame Beauty Wonder Lash Intense and Maybelline Lashionista for 11 months and later Estee Lauder Double Wear Lengthening mascara. I liked the Estee lauder mascara but I have not used it as much as the Maybelline one so Maybelline Lashionista – Endless Length Obsession it is!
Oriflame beauty Wonder Lash intense mascara has a good mascara wand, I am not a huge fan of the formula though!

Blush

By far my most used blushes are a weird cream and powder blush duo that I love using individually and together! Skinfood Fresh Fruit Lip and Cheek Tint in Grapfruit (Cream) and Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher #12 Plum Mousse Cake.

Lipstick and Lipgloss/ Tinted Lipbalm

Etude House Princess Etoinette Crystal Shine Lips – Sip of Wine PRD302 (released 2013 winter) is a shade that I bought in December and then used it almost everyday I stepped out of the house!
The other favorite before this was the Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick in Soft Azalea. I wore this lipstick on all special occasions until October (starting May!).
Etude House Sweet recipe Candy stick (#1) Pink was my favorite tinted lip balm. I also liked the Clean & Clear Shimmering Pink but I used this one more than any other tinted lip balm in 2013!

I thought of not including nail favorites at all since I am new to nail art, nail paints and stuff (never painted my nails more than a dozen times per year) but then I thought there are a few stand out products that someone may find interesting. So here are my favorite nail products of 2013.
