A Complete Guide For Pedicure At Home

Having neat and clean feet is a sign of a well-groomed person as they play a vital role in reflecting your personality. However, some people do not get time to go salon for a pedicure since it also causes them to invest extra money. So you should show some love to your feet by following a foot care regime if you cannot visit a salon regularly. A pedicure can do some amazing things for you since it helps relax your feet by increasing blood flow. The skin of your feet gets hydrated and looks beautiful.
Following are some instructions that can help you to enjoy the perks of a perfect pedicure at home.

Start-Up:
Classic pedicure takes up 30 to 45 mins which is bliss for your feet. Start by cleaning the canvas and by this I mean start by removing previously applied nail polish or any dirt present on your nail bed. Next, grab a nail cutter and trim your nails carefully without breaking them. Once the desired shape and length is achieved buff the outer corner of your nails with the help of a wooden filer.
You can replace the cuticle gel with a mix of tea tree oil and a carrier oil to make your nail bed emollient and supple. Tea tree oil has anti-microbial properties and helps to prevent skin-fungal diseases.
Source of Relaxation
Get a tub filled with warm water and drop your feet in it for at least 25 minutes. Warm water softens the calluses and cleanses the feet all the while relaxing your aching feet. You can also add few drops of lemon juice in the water as its acidic nature helps in whitening your feet. You can also add a tablespoon of Epsom salt as it contains magnesium which helps your feet to get rid of any toxins.
After 25 minutes your cuticles will get soft and it will be easy for you to remove them. Take a cuticle pusher and remove the excess cuticles to clean your nail bed further.
Scrubbing and hydrating:
The next step is to massage your feet. This will improve the blood circulation and will relax your feet muscles. You can use something as simple as coconut oil to massage your feet or a body butter if you do not have a fancy foot cream. You can also make a scrub using oatmeal and jojoba oil to exfoliate skin cells. You can find a list of different methods to remove dead skin cells here.
Wash your feet with warm water and then moisturize them with coconut oil or any other good moisturizer. Moisturizing your feet right after taking them out of water will help to keep your feet hydrated and fresh.
Last but not least, buff your nails to give them the shine. Now you are ready to apply your favorite nail paint to complete your pedicure.
