Oriflame The One High Impact Eye Pencil – Review, Swatches, Price in India, EOTD!

Hi everyone, today I am going to review an eye pencil which I have been loving this month. It is the Oriflame The One High Impact Eye Pencil in Deep Plum. This range of Oriflame eye liners comes in 4 shades – Black (Onyx Black), Plum (Deep Plum), Green (Amazon Green) and Blue (Midnight Blue). I have one too many green and blue eyeliners so I picked up the Deep Plum shade. It appeared a good alternative to black for everyday use. So here is the review for you!

Oriflame the One High Impact Eye pencil comes in a retractable pencil. The outer packaging is deep pink in color like the signature Oriflame The One range. All the shades come in the same packaging but the color coded button at the base of the eyeliner helps find out the shade without actually opening it. The packaging is sturdy, sleek and definitely travel-friendly.
This Oriflame eyeliner has a creamy texture but it is not very smooth. It does not tug at the skin but does not glide like the other similar eyeliners – L’Oreal Silkissime Eyeliners, Maybelline Colossal Kajal Super Black. It has a matte finish so it looks really good with glossy lips.
Swatch:

The pigmentation is average since the color does look like it appears in the packaging but you need to build 2-3 layers for that. In one swipe, it does not give an opaque finish. But once it is applied (2-3 swipes), it looks gorgeous. I have worn it in a couple of my videos recently.
Since this is a deep shade, it is a good replacement for black for everyday use to define the eyes and yet have something colorful. It looks really good on brown eyes (all shades of purple look good on brown eyes). I like it as my eyeliner when I am creating a bold liner look.
I have oily eyelids and nothing stays for long without a primer so this one also works best when I use a primer. If I want to do a simple look, I use a loose powder all over my eyelid before using this. It helps matte-ify my skin and hence enhances the lasting power of this eyeliner. It lasts for 4 hours before it starts fading but it still stays for 7 hours on me. It stays for 3 hours on my waterline before it fades (I have water-y eyes). For a drugstore eyeliner, this is quite good but the formula is not as superior as L’Oreal or Maybelline eyeliners we all have fallen in love with!

Overall, I am in love with this Plum eyeliner from Oriflame. It is usually available at a discounted price these days so it is worth a try. I like the shade and how it looks on me. It works really well when I am bored with my usual black eyeliner. If Oriflame makeup is accessible to you, do check it out!
