The Body Shop InstaBlur Eye Primer – Review!

The Body Shop All-in-one InstaBlur Eye Tinted Concealer + Primer – Review, Swatches!

Hi everyone, today I am going to share my review of The Body Shop InstaBlur Eye concealer + primer. I picked up a few months ago and have been testing it for a while. At first I only used to prime my eyelids but it was much later that I found out that it also worked (or was supposed to work) for the under eye area. So here is a detailed review for you!

The Body Shop InstaBlur Eye Tinted Concealer and Primer comes in a white squeeze tube with black twist open lid. The opening of the tube is in the style of nozzle and it dispenses very tiny amount of product at a time. The packaging is very simple, hygenic and travel-friendly.
The concealer itself is peachy in color with yellow undertones. It has a solid consistency even though it looks like a mousse. The texture is weird in my opinion because it blends like a silicone-based primer. It has a dry almost flaky look before it is blended. The best way to apply this product is with the fingers since that way it gets warmed up and spreads evenly.

For at least a couple of months I used this only as my eye makeup primer but when I found out that it could be applied on the under eye area for makeup, I started it all over the eye area.
I loved using it as my eyeshadow primer as it made my eyeshadow last longer. Since it is tinted, it also created an even base on my eyes so even lighter shade (like MAC Brule) looked really good as stand alone shadow. Else they look uneven without a tinted base on my eyelids (pigmented and oily). Since I have dry skin on my under eye area, I felt like the primer made my concealer last long but it looked a bit dry. I like how even my under eye area looks after using this product with reduced appearance of fine lines but it still looks a bit dry to me. I like having a cream under this primer! I am happy to report that the under eye concealer lasted better with the primer (but it should anyway.)
This is a fragrance free product in my opinion since I do not notice any scent on it so if you have sensitive eyes you can pick this one.

Overall, The Body Shop InstaBlur Eye All-in-one Conealer + primer is a pricey primer which can be used as an eyeshadow primer as well as an under eye primer. I cannot reckon how it is different from other primers since most face primers can be used for the same purpose. I feel like there is too less of the product considering the price and as I have already mentioned this can totally be replaced by a regular primer. I am not really going to repurchase it even though I think it worked well. So if you are into eye primers or want a travel-size primer for the eyes and under eye area, I’d say try this one out!
