SoulTree Aloe & Rose Water with Skin Toning Licorice Cleansing Milk – Review

Hi everyone, today I bring you the review of a cleansing milk that I received in FabBag a couple of months ago. I received a 30 ml sample and started using it immediately. I am usually pumped to talk about the products I love using but despite some apprehensions I make myself share reviews of products I do not enjoy using. So read on to find out my experience with the SoulTree Aloe & Rose Water Cleansing Milk!

SoulTree Aloe & Rose Water Cleansing Milks comes in a white plastic bottle with black twist open lid. The packaging is made from recylced plastic. The packaging is sturdy but nothing special. The cleansing milks itself has a thick consistency similar to, for the lack of a better term, Fevicol. It has a sharp powdery smell.
I was hoping to smell something remotely like roses when I first saw the bottle. And since it is an Ayurvedic product, I expected it to be gentle on the skin. However, it turned out to be quite harsh to my skin. It warmed up my skin after I massaged it on my face to remove my makeup. And then my skin started itching. It remained reddish pink especially my cheek area. It took me 3 ice cold water splashes in the course of 30 minutes to feel better. I did not blame this facial cleanser and decided to leave it for a week later.

A week later, I got the same result. I waited another month to try it again (as a beauty blogger I hate writing off products based on just one impression). But yesterday I got the same result. So I have sort of given up on this cleansing milk.
However, from the 3-4 times I used this cleanser, I found out that it removed most of my makeup and had to washed off with a face wash. With waterproof makeup, I noticed some residue left behind!

I have no idea if I landed up a bad batch or this product really sucks. But I am not going anywhere near this cleansing milk again. My skin was behaving well for the past few days and I got a couple of bumps after using this. It makes my skin itchy and red so I am saying goodbye to this product. I have tried a couple of products from SoulTree but have never had such reaction to them. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this cleansing milk!
