The Face Shop 3D Ampoule Masksheet – Hyaluronic Acid & Colostrum REVIEW!
I have very few masksheets left and I am so sad that I am going to run out of them. Of course I can purchase more but there is no way I can easily get my hands on the amazing korean masksheets I got to try in the past. It is precisely the reason I have started giving a little bit of a gap in between mask sheets. So yesterday I opened my The Face Shop 3D Ampoule masksheet. I have already a masksheet of this kind – Innisfree Intensive Ampoule Mask Catechin. So I knew what to expect and how to use it. So here is the review of The Face Shop 3D Ampoule Masksheet – Hyaluronic Acid & Colostrum!

All of the ingredients sound good for the skin and I picked up the one with Hyaluronic Acid (I lie to pretend this mask does not contain colostrum ;)) simply because I think it is really good for dry skin. I expected this to add moisture and suppleness to my skin. Because even in Delhi’s summer, my skin is lacking moisture and feeling really dehydrated.
The Face Shop 3D Ampoule masksheet come in individual silver sachet pakcaging with yellow accents. The ampoule part extends a bit outside the normal rectangular form. It is easily detachable and can be opened easily as well. There is a lot ampoule for one time use so I applied it on my neck, arms and hands in addition to my face. The ampople was a bit milky in color and has a gel like texture. It did not get absorbed right away into the skin.
I then opened the mask sheet and applied on my face immediately after the ampoule. The mask sheet itself also contained essence and I could feel the thick texture of the mask sheet. The masksheet comes extended at the neck so it can be applied under the jawline. The masksheet is thick as compared to the Real Nature masksheets from TheFaceShop. The neck part of the masksheet keep it stable on the face without coming off and also gives the 3D effect

While the amouple felt gel-like and moisturizing to the skin, the masksheet stung a little at the dry spots of my face. It was not very uncomfortable but it was noticeable. For a moisturizing product, this was a bit of a surprise for me. The smell was also not very pleasing. I have no idea what colostrum or Hyaluronic Acid are supposed to smell like but with an added fragrance, this could have been made to smell more appealing. The smell was honestly a bit off-putting!
I kept the mask on for about 20 minutes before I removed it. There was a bit of essence left over on the masksheet which I applied on my elbows and went to sleep. My skin felt a little hydrated the next morning but nothing else happened. The dry spots (around my mouth) were still noticeable and the moisturizing effect also did not last the whole day. With a mask sheet that costs 4$, I expect a lot more. This is one of the disappointing face masks I have used till now from The Face Shop. I can only hope that the other ones – Ceramide & Ginseng, Collagen & Pine Mushroom work better than this one!

Overall, I would not recommend The Face Shop 3D Ampoule mask. It is way too expensive and the ampoule+mask do not work as well as they should considering the price. The Face Shop do some amazing masksheets (listed and linked above) so I would say skip this! I have a similar mask from Etude House and I am planning to use and review it soon on the blog!
