Hi everyone, this is my first official outfit of the day(OOTD) post!

I know this is not exactly my first post featuring my outfit, but it is definitely the first one where I have shared an outfit with the intent of entering the field of fashion blogging. Read more details about this in my Fashion Blogging & Other Updates post.
Moving on…
I picked this asymmetrical top from Westside a few months ago. It is long at the back and covers the hip area so it is ideal to be paired with Jeans or Jeggings. I like the monochrome Hounds-tooth print, which is my favorite after polka dot in prints.
The pair of jeans I am wearing is 710 Super Skinny from Levis. This is the exact fit and colour I had been dreaming of all these years. I finally found it in the Levi’s Store in Chandigarh last month. I have been living in this pair of jeans ever since.
I like to wear flats when I go shopping (for obvious reasons) but for this particular outfit I decided to incorporate my Guess strappy sandals. Usually ballet flats and slim-fit jeans go well together but I think heels add a hint of glam. I would have chosen pumps but I couldn’t find them before leaving, ha! Plus these sandals kept the color quotient of the outfit right where I wanted it.

For accessories, I put on a simple pearl string necklace and a handmade pearl bracelet (I made it from a bracelet and a pair of earrings). And of course I carried my most used handbag of this year, my Anne Klein black handbag with an elephant-mirror and a red fur charm.
It has been years since I have gone out in western outfit without putting on a shrug to hide myself. Being top heavy, I find it challenging to discover nice-fitting stylish clothes. Most plus size clothes are too long or wide or do not flow as nicely as I would prefer them. But I like how this top fits me, I am on the lookout for more short blouses to wear with blazers and jackets in fall/winter.

I kept my makeup simple for this look, just well-defined eyes (black liquid liner), fresh skin (light concealer + powder foundation) and deep warm pink lips (Colorbar Take Me As I Am – 11 Tango Pink).
The top knot to tame my unruly hair without styling 😉
