Etude House Play 101 Pencil 46 comes in a grey retractable plastic pencil form with color coded end. The packaging is pretty average and the pencil number is printed on the body of the pencil. The color-coded bottom has a tip sharpener! I like a retractable pencil type product especially as eyeliner.
The Play101 46 is a metallic eyeliner (categorized as shimmer in the Play 101 line). It is a beautiful rose gold shade which sometimes looks more copper-y.
This is a full on shimmer eyeliner so I have used it mainly on my lower lashline or in the inner corner of my eyes. I tried using it as an eyeshadow base but it did not stay put very well on my oily eyelids. It gives better results on the eyelids when used with a primer. After a few trials, I stuck to the lower lashline and inner corners.
This eyeliner is really creamy and glides smoothly on application so there is no tugging involved in makeup. I like how it looks on my eyes and I think it has a certain warmth which makes this suitable for all skintones. It attracts attention to eyes but it is not in-your-face kind of shimmer!
I have seen a relatively good lasting power from this eyeliner even though it does fade a little during the day. I would say that this eyeliner has gotten slightly better after a few months since it was way too creamy for me when I first bought it. Now it is a bit more firm (not necessarily dry) so it stays longer than before! And it is easy to remove with any eye makeup remover and cotton/Q tip.

Amongst the other Play101 pencils I have tried, this shade is the least “multi-purpose”, as it can only be used in eye makeup. The Play 101 pencil 25 was good for eyeshadow, blush, lipstick so I considered it far better and useful when I think of multi-purpose makeup. Nevertheless, this is a nice metallic color to have in my collection. It is not a color that is easy to find so it is definitely a keeper in my opinion!
