L’Oreal Paris Superliner Gelmatic Pen is gel liner in Pen form. The packaging is pretty sleek; each gelmatic pen eyeliner comes in a retractable black pen form with color co-ordinated bands at the bottom. The glamour gold shade comes off as antique gold.
I picked up Glamour Gold because I love metallic shades for my lower lashline and the inner corner of my eyes. I think these two shades, instead of white, add a lot of glamour to an eye look. The Silver Mania shade was out of stock so gold was the obvious choice. I was expecting a good pigmentation and staying power. I was disappointed on both fronts!
I have tried using this eyeliner on my upper lashline and lower lashline and I feel that it lasted better on my upper lashline. I have seen it disappear within 2-3 hours on my lower lashline. The problem does not end here since pigmentation is also a concern. One swipe does not give enough pigmentation. And since this is an eyeliner (and not a lipstick), I do not like rubbing it on my delicate eye area for it to show up well. The color, once build up looks beautiful and will work for all skintones!
I have used this eyeliner to create the makeup look (pic above) and will be doing a step-by-step tutorial post on how to recreate this look! Stay tuned for that.

I like using this shade to add a subtle hint of gold shimmer to my eye looks. I would have liked it to be more pigmented and last longer. I have created a few looks with this eyeliner that I really like, one of them I have shared in this post. The shade is beautiful but the formula has a room for improvement. I still like this antique gold shade since I am not a huge fan of yellow-y gold shades in eyeliners.
