Hi everyone, I do not do occasion specific posts on the blog frequently but this time I got into the Christmas mood and decided to do a Christmas color themed nail art. You might have seen this NOTD featured in my Winterize Your Nails Manicure post 5 days ago. My nail painting skills are beginner level at best so I hope you enjoy this simple nail art.
Christmas Nail Art Step by Step tutorial:
Step 1: After cleaning your nails, apply a good base coat. I used the Maybelline Express Finish Base Coat.
Step 2: Apply a white nail paint on all of the nails. Using as many coats (2-3 usually) to get an opaque finish. I used the Maybelline ColorShow 102 Porcelain Party.
Step 3: Use a red nail paint to create the French nails effect except on the ring finger because we are doing accent nail. I used Maybelline ColorShow 216 Downtown Red.
Step 4: Using a sponge, apply red glitter on the tips of the nails to create glitter French tips (leaving Ring finger).
Step 5: Create a triangle shape using clear nail paint (I used my base coat) and then add green glitter with sponge to create a Christmas tree.
Step 6: Add a star nail art stone and decorate your tiny Christmas tree. I added loose gold specs to add ornaments to my tree. Clear glitter from the finger (trust me despite using a sponge, it will go everywhere!)
Step 7: Once everything dries off, apply a top coat to seal everything! I used Etude House Help My Finger UV Diamond Top Coat.
