I picked up The Body Shop Olive Body Butter during a 50% off sale a few months ago. I had picked up 4 body butters and one body scrub in addition to makeup so the reviews are coming in the order I am using these products. I recently reviewed The Body Shop Early-Harvest Raspberry Body scrub and the Argan Oil Body Butter. The reviews of the other body butter will be coming up soon. Read on to find my thoughts on the The Body Shop Olive Body Butter!

The Body Shop Olive Body Butter come in a standard plastic tub packaging. This particular tub is green in color and there is 200 ml of product in it. The tub packaging is not considered as hygenic but it is standard TBS so I am not going to mind it – thats just how they do it – Take it or leave it. The Body butter itself is olive green in color and is meant for dry skin.
Some key ingredients are: Olive oil, Cocoa Seed Butter, Shea Butter in addition to parabens, added color and fragrance. The manufacturing and expiry dates are mentioned on the packaging as well.
I have dry skin so this is an obvious choice of body butter for me. It is rich and moisturizes well even though it does not get absorbed into the skin instantly. The effect (softness) lasts for a long time and I usually do not need to reapply it through the day (except for hand cream which is obvious.) I am not a huge fan of the scent though, I imagine TBS wanted to go for a fragrance that represented Olives but this one just did not do it for me!

I like The Body Shop body butters as they have worked well for me. Of course I know I can get something cheaper of similar type in India but I have always been a fan of The Body Shop so I always give their products a try. I liked the Olive Body butter but the smell is a bit off-putting for me so I will not be repurchasing it. I am using another body lotion and body butter these days which smells much better. Review coming soon!
