Etude House released Fantastic Color Eyes trios quite some time ago. I do have a palette (which I am yet to review) from that line but before that, I bring you the Fantastic Color Eyes – #1 Bloody Halloween Palette which was released for holidays this year. There are 2 palettes in this stand-alone collection, the second one being #2 Bohemian Soul the swatches of which will be coming up next. There are 6 shades in each palette and there is variety in the textures of the eyeshadows. Each palette costs 14$ (14000 KRW). Both of the eyeshadow palettes are limited edition so if you like them, grab them now!
Product: Etude House Fantastic Color Eyes # 1 Bloody Halloween
Etude House Fantastic Color Eyes Bloody Halloween shades and texture (left to right):
- Pale (Frost)
- Zombie Kiss (Cream)
- Witch Hunting (Matte)
- Funky Horror (Shimmer)
- Bloody Burgundy (Shimmer)
- Halloween Night (Shimmer)
Pale is a pearly Champagne shade with little gold specks of shimmer in it. It looks beautiful in the inner corner and as a highlight shade. It needs to be built up a little, not very pigmented with one swipe.
Zombie Kiss is a cream shade and since this is “Fantastic Color Eyes” palette, I am assuming this can be used as eyeshadow base. The color looks deeper in the pan than how it looks in the swatch. I think this will also work nicely as a cream blush or lipstick.
Witch Hunting is a Matte shade, the only one in this palette, and is a dusty rose shade. It works nice as an all-over-eyelid shade. I believe it can also work as a transition shade.
Funky Horror is a beautiful dusty lavender with gold shimmer particles. I like this shade a lot!
Bloody Burgundy is a burgundy shade, as the name suggests, with pink shimmer specs. This will look great when used over the cream shade from this palette.
Halloween Night is a black shade with copper-y shimmer specs. The color payoff is decent for a black shimmer eyeshadow.
This palette comes with a double-ended sponge-tip applicator and has a built-in mirror. This is a compact palettes with 6 shades and the variety of shades make this a must-have in my opinion. The packaging is cute but not comparable to the other Etude House products I’ve seen but this is pretty functional and totally travel-friendly.
There is no fallout from the powder shadows which is a concern when a palette contains both cream and matte products. The cream shade can be used in multiple ways – eyeshadow base, cream blush, lipstick. The shades work well and have a good staying power however the cream eyeshadow creases on my oily eyelids. With an eye primer, this palette is a dream to work with.
This palette contains deep shades and will work really well for the winter months. For the mirror, compact size, color payoff and color selection I would definitely recommend this palette.
