Review: Nature's Essence Purifying Neem & Aloe Vera Face Wash

I received the Nature’s Essence Purifying Neem & Aloe Vera Face Wash in a Nature’s Essence Travel kit that contained the Neem & Aloe Vera face wash, face lotion and shampoo. I have tried all of the three products and this would be my first ever review of a Nature’s Essence product. So here we go!

If you have been following this blog for a while, you already know about my preference for natural and nature-origin products in skincare. I was expecting to like this face wash especially since it looks like a face wash I have enjoyed before, Himalaya Neem Face Wash, and claimed to be an “Aromatherapy Beauty Solutions.” I would not say that I do not like this product but I definitely had something else on my mind while trying this!
First thing, it smells nothing like what an aromatherapy product smells like. It smells light and sweet but definitely not like any aromatherapy oil I have sniffed before. Second the key ingredients printed at the back of the packaging are Neem, Aloe Vera and Turmeric but I think it has added color too since it is a green colored gel. I do not like highly perfumed or colored products in skincare “(because they are not beneficial for the skin) and since I cannot be sure of the ingredients, I am assuming it contains both of those things (color and fragrance). I also wanted to see the full ingredient list which I have not found yet. I have deducted points for that!
As a face wash, it does a good job of gently cleansing the skin. I like that it lathers well but but too much and also is easy to wash off. It does not leave any residue and I have tested this by removing my makeup with Olive oil. After wiping my face, I do not feel that my skin is stripped of moisture. So as an affordable cleanser, it does a great job!

If I had gotten the complete ingredient list of this Nature’s Essence Neem & Aloe Vera face wash, I would have rated it even better because I like to know what I am applying to my skin (chemical-wise). I am satisfied with the performance of this product but want to try out others in the market before settling on one and repurchasing.
