Etude House Dust Cut Facial Mist REVIEW

The pollution seems to be increasing and our environment is getting worse for our skin with every passing day. I have always tried to save my skin from dust, pollution and harsh sunrays by using umbrella, a scarf and sunscreen. But these things did not seem enough so this spring, I tried out the much-hyped (and newly launched) Etude House Dust Cut facial mist from the Etude House DUST CUT skincare range. I have done a comprehensive post on this range which you can read here to find out more about the whole range. But today I am going to review the DustCUT facial mist!

My experience:
I got the Etude House Dust CUT facial mist to save my skin during spring, the time there is yellow dust in the atmosphere in South Korea. I started using it right away and I felt a little bit of tightening of skin within second of spraying the mist on my face. It was something that has been claimed by the brand but it took a little bit of getting used to! It did not lead to drying of skin neither did it make the dry spots on the face stand out. The tightening of skin (as explained by the brand) happens because the facial mist creates a sort of veil to protect the skin.
The smell of the spray is fresh and a little sweet but nothing dramatic. I do not notice any moisturization effect from this facial mist either.
The packaging is pretty basic, nothing to go gaga about, I think 150 ml is a little big for me to carry everyday on my purse for use through out the day, I would have liked something smaller (50 ml or so). The spray dispenses sufficient amount of product so it does not ruin my makeup if I use it after putting on my makeup. I did not notice any difference to the longevity of my makeup because of using this spray!
Onto the main point, saving the skin from dust! I did spray my face with this mist on a day and then spent the whole day outdoors and when I removed my makeup, I think there was much less dust on the cotton I used to cleanse my skin. I would say 40% less dust! I do remember the ad Etude House was running to show the DUST CUT qualities of this spray but I did not notice that huge of a difference.

All in all this is a good facial mist which can be used to set makeup and also save skin from Dust and pollution but I do not consider this as a total must have product especially since the results were not very astounding. If there was an SPF in this, I might have liked it even more. I usually stay away from facial mists and sprays as they contain alcohols which lead to drying of skin (at least for me) so I may not buy this product again. I have also used the DUST Cut face mask and will be reviewing it soon. So stay tuned!
