Etude House Precious Mineral Blooming Fit BB cream – REVIEW (+FOTD)

I bought the Etude House Precious Mineral Blooming Fit BB cream and have been using it on and off for over 2 months. I had a love hate relationship with the Etude House Precious Mineral Bright Fit BB cream (read review) so I was not expecting to love this BB cream at all. I started using this BB cream when I was in Korea and had dry skin and have been using it even now that I am in India and the weather has made my skin more “Normal”. Read on to find out how I feel about the Blooming Fit BB cream from Etude House.

Etude House Blooming Fit Bb cream

One of the first things that struck me when I used this Bb cream was the glow it gave me instantly! Of course it is because of the mother of pearl (and the obvious name Blooming Fit) but I have never gotten such a beautiful glow just from a BB cream or a foundation. A highlighter/illuminating base under a BB cream or foundation usually gives this effect. So if you do not like Glowing skin, this is not the BB cream for you, you should probably opt for the Matte-fying Cotton Fit BB cream (suitable for Oily skin).
The texture of the BB cream is quite similar to the Bright Fit BB cream and it has a medium coverage. I think it can also be sheered out so it can be used for people who need light to medium coverage.
The claim says that we can build several layers of this BB cream, but I think it is not a very light-weight BB cream so any more than one layer can get too heavy for the skin. And for this reason I think this will work best for normal to dry skin types.

Etude House Precious Mineral Blooming Fit BB cream – 3 Honey Beige

The BB cream contains Titanium dioxide and Iron oxides which makes it give a slight (not very noticeable) white cast in photos especially in artificial lighting but I do not mind it because SPF30 and PA ++ means medium sun protection! The lasting power of the BB cream is comparable to a foundation. It does settle a little under my eyes if I do not set it with a powder and rubs off around my nose after 3-4 hours but with a little upkeep, my skin keeps looking good throughout the day.
My only concern is that this BB cream, like the Bright Fit BB cream, clings to dry spots. Now it is summer so I do not have that problem but during March-April time, when I was having dry spots, I applied the Etude House Super Collagen Moisture stick on the dry spots to moisturize them just before applying the BB cream.
I have not used this daily to know about the anti-wrinkle or whitening effect so I cannot comment on that. I got myself the darkest shade in the range W24 Honey Beige from the 3 shades – N02 Light Beige, W13 Natural Beige, W24 Honey Beige. That color works well for me but I think the shade range is very limited (with just 3 shades) and is not suitable for darker skin tones.

Out of all the BB creams I have tried until now (and I have tried plenty), the Etude House Precious Mineral Blooming Fit BB cream is amongst my top 5! Just to be clear – I have dry skin and I like moisturizing BB creams that give me a glowing look, I also prefer medium coverage because anything more looks artificial and anything less does not work for the amount of imperfections I have. All in all Etude House has done a good job with this BB cream, I definitely recommend this to people with normal to dry skin.

Have you tried the Etude House BB creams? What do you think about the Etude House Precious Mineral Blooming Fit BB cream?

  1. Aww…I was looking forward to buying this but from your swatch I think that it’ll be a little too light for me. It seems as though the actual shade choices of Etude’s bb creams are getting lighter and more limmited as time goes on. Honey Beige in the Cotton fit line is lighter than the Bright fit, and this one looks lighter than the Cotton fit.

  2. Thank you for the great review!:) I really want to purchase this bb cream next. I prefer bb creams to foundations.

  3. Hi, thanks for the review. I really love Etude House brand ! I’ve tried Bright Fit in Honey Beige shade before. But as the time goes on, it oxidises and becomes darker on my face.
I’m planning to buy a new one.
Have you tried Etude House Perfect Fit ? Which one do you think better? Perfect fit or Blooming Fit? And How about Precious Mineral Any Cushion ?
Sorry if it’s too much, and thank you again 🙂

    • Hi Nia, I have not tried the Perfect Fit BB cream so cannot compare it with Blooming Fit. I did, however, like the Blooming Fit Bb cream way better than the Bright Fit BB cream! I have not tried the Precious Mineral Any Cushion and of course since it is a different consistency (being a cushion product), it is not feasible to compare it with a cream product. Magic Any Cushions are make bases so they fall in an entirely different category. Hope this helps!
