L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte lispticks

L’Oreal has been promoting their Moist Matte lipsticks extensively for quite some time now and I caught on to the hype recently. Before I actually review the product, I thought I would show the swatches and my first impression review. I am planning to start doing first impression reviews on more products, let me know your thoughts on that because for a thorough review it takes a longer time and a first impression review, despite not being a final verdict, can sometimes say a lot about a product. Anyhow, I am still in the process of deciding. But I digress.
L’Oreal Moist Matte lipticks available in 12 shades in Korea (and India) but the shades are different. Since I took these swatches in Korea, here are the 12 shades available at Watsons store:

First Impression Review:
I tried the Moist Matte lipsticks for the first time and was pleased with how smoothly they went on. Despite being matte, at first the lipsticks are a bit moisturizing and set to a matte finish within a few moments. The colors are rich and opaque so one swipe is enough! My lips felt moisturized and not parched for a few hours (about 3) before I felt the need to apply a lip balm. The lasting power is also quite impressive given that these are not marketed as long-lasting lipsticks. They do transfer, especially in the beginning and fade away beautifully leaving a stain behind. I could see the color for 6 hours even after a main meal.
The packaging looks good and it is nice that the color is visible on the outside of the lipstick. I like the shiny gold bullet with a colored square, corresponding to the lipstick shade, peeking through but it does not really help if someone has a big lipstick collection (ahem!) because the color is not visible anywhere on the outside.
I had not exfoliated my lips so I did notice a bit of flaky look but it was nothing major and it usually occurs with dry lips and matte lipsticks anyway. Overall I am pleased with the these lipsticks, I did have to apply a lip balm after 3 hours and so on. For drugstore, 18$ for a lipstick is expensive but if you are looking for a richly pigmented Matte lisptick, this can be a good option!

Have you tried the L’Oreal Paris Moist Matte lipsticks? Which shade would you like to try?
