We all know that excessive exposure to the sun can lead to sun burn, premature ageing of skin, hyper-pigmentation and skin cancer. So sun protection is a really important part of skincare.
Sun-Protection can take two forms:
Natural Sun-Protection: Wear sunglasses, cover bare arms with a cotton jacket and carry an umbrella when outdoors to limit sun damage naturally.
Chemical Sun-Protection:
Physical Sunscreens: The main function of physical sunscreens is to reflect back the sunrays. These contain Zinc Oxide or Titanium dioxide so they can give a white cast to the skin.

What is SPF?
SPF (Sun Protection Factor) is an indicator of the strength of the sunscreen act as a shield against UVB rays which cause tanning and sunburn.
What is PA?
PA (Protection Grade of UVA) protects against the damaging effects of UVA rays that cause wrinkles, skin ageing and danger of skin cancer.

Chemical Sunscreens: Chemical sunscreens absorb the harmful rays preventing them from penetrating the skin.These creams do not leave a white cast and are more potent, expensive and difficult to find than physical sunscreens.
Some of easiest ways for sun protection are:
- Always wear a sunscreen. A good option is Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF50+
- Always wear a lip balm with SPF like Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer with SPF15.
- Limit sun exposure in peak hours 11am to 3pm.
