Innisfree Natural Jelly Jeju Volcanic Cleansing Sponge – Review!

Innisfree Natural Jelly Jeju Volcanic Cleansing Sponge Review, Price!

Hi everyone, Konjac sponges have been popular in Asia for quite some time now. I tried the Innisfree Natural Jelly Jeju Cleansing Sponge a couple of years ago. My skin cleared up within a few days of using it regularly. But Konjac (pronounced ko-nee-ac) sponges are one of the high-maintenance skincare tools so I did not repurchase konjac sponge immediately after using it. I had heard that the Innisfree Natural Jelly Jeju Volcanic Cleansing Sponge works better for oily skin so I picked it up since it is hot in Delhi and my skin is oiling up 😉 I have used it extensively the past month and will be letting go of it so here is a detailed review for you!

Innisfree Volcanic Ash & Jelly Jeju Volcanic Cleansing Sponge comes in a clear plastic bag with the important details printed on the sachet. The sponges are packed damp so they are soft to touch. When left in open air, the konjac sponges, both the Jelly Sponge and the Volcanic Jelly Sponge harden a bit. For every use, they need to be kept under running water (or a bowl and lukewarm water works best) to dampen them and then used to cleanse the skin.
The Innisfree Volcanic Ash & Jelly Jeju Volcanic Cleansing Sponge is reddish brown in color and looks as if the sponge is a little less porous than the (white) Jelly sponge. It looks like a little brick to me 😉

I had bought this sponge two years ago as well but ended up giving it away to a friend to try since she was having skin problems. I got it again a few months ago to try for myself. It is good at cleansing the skin and after a bit of research I found out that this one is geared towards sensitive skin. I was under the impression, I had probably been told by an SA in Korea, that this konjac sponge was meant for oily skin. In any case, it has worked wonders for my skin and I am so sad that I am so close to a month of using it. Konjac sponges do not have a long shelf life so they need to be replaced every month or so. I used it once every day at night and it helped clear up a lot of blackheads and clogged pores!

I love using konjac sponges for cleansing my skin especially at night. They can a bit of a challenge to keep clean and dry but they work wonders for the skin. A konjac sponge is something that you will find indispensable once you start using it. Now when I wash my face normally without the cleansing sponge, it does not feel as clean! I would recommend it to people who love to take good care of their skin and would not mind a bit of extra work of washing the sponge after every use. It is a wonderful product!
