Etude House Nutrifull Shea Butter Sleeping Pack – Review

A sleeping pack is a rich cream that is supposed to lock in moisture and breakdown slowly through the night to reveal soft and supple skin in the morning. I received a lot of samples of the Etude House Nutrifull Shea Butter Sleeping pack. I used some of them as hand creams while travelling or used them as a massage cream. So for a long time, I did not use this product for its intended purpose.  But now that I have, let me tell you how the Etude House Nutrifull Shea Butter Sleeping Pack worked for me!

Etude House Nutrifull Shea Butter Sleeping Pack

The first thing that goes against it is the basic beauty rule – having a heavy product on your face before sleeping can clog your pores. I have dry skin and yet I saw a few bumps on my forehead (I suffer from oily T zone) the next morning. My nose was also visible shinier!
I had massaged it well on my face and did not leave it as a layer but it did more than just moisturize my skin I think. I used it like a moisturizer! I believe this product will create problems for oily skintypes. I liked the almond-y scent even though I do not like having fragrance added to my skincare products. If the Nutrifull Shea Butter eye cream is anything like this, I think it will be work really well for me as my under eye area is parched!
I do not think that the sleeping pack worked very well for my (dry) skin.  I do like the Essentializer (review coming soon) from this line but the sleeping pack just did not do it for me. I like to let my skin breathe at night, something so heavy makes me feel strangely uncomfortable. I would rather try the face masksheets and remove them in 15 minutes before going to bed or even use traditional mask and go through the “inconvenience” of washing my face after use but I would stay away from any heavy sleeping pack or night cream!
Note: I checked a few reviews on the Etude House Korean website and even though I cannot read Korean, I know my way around the website (from a year of trial and error) and I see that many people have given this 3-4-5 stars. So maybe my skin is the only one that is not taking it well? But since this is my blog, I am giving my opinion based on my experience. So if you want to try this product, maybe start with a sample? Or at least keep a close eye on how your skin feels in the morning!

I doubt I have ever been this dissatisfied with an Etude House product before but that’s ok, no brand can have all products perfect for everyone. Out of all the Etude House Nutrifull skincare products have used, I like the Essentializer the best. After the second time I got those bumps on my forehead, I started using this as a hand cream 😉 and it is working well like that for me!
