I try not to buy makeup products from brands like L’Oreal Paris, Maybelline, Revlon in Korea since these brands are easily available in Korea. But I couldn’t resist the L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse liquid lip colors. L’Oreal products are sold in Olive Young stores in Korea and they have a very small display of Loreal makeup while the skin care and hair display is quite considerable! The Shine Caresse lipsticks are available in 8 shades in Korea and I really like 3 shades. Since these cost a lot (16000 KRW) I got only one first to try out – 801 Princess. I got a few months ago and forgot about it. I was reminded about it because of SALE in which I bought the other shade 604 Bella which I will be reviewing soon.

L’Oreal described these liquid lipsticks as a combination of gloss and wear of a stain and the formula of a balm! So this 3 in 2 product had a lot to live up to!
First lets just say that the packaging is quite unique and beautiful. I was really let down by their Rouge Caresse (lipsticks) in terms of packaging, pigmentation and wear but this one lives up to all the claims!
I love that the color is visible from the outside and the applicator is a gloss style angled pointy applicator. The lip color is thick enough to work well with one coat and thin enough to be spread evenly! It is just right.
The color selection is not exhaustive but the shades are still beautiful. This shade – 801 Princess – is a beautiful deep coral shade that is very warm-toned and rich, it becomes more orange-y red when I apply it. I forgot to mention that the color deepens a bit after applying – which I think is quite LipIce style! I do not mind it even though I would have preferred to not have the color change since the original shade is so beautiful!
The smell is Thank God not as chemical-ly as the L’Oreal lipsticks usually are but it is still not my favorite aspect of the product. I just ignore it 😉

I would have preferred a lighter smell and no change in the lip color on application but it this is an awesome product. It is glossy, moisturizing and lasts for 4-5 hours easily. It also stains the lips so even when it wear off, the lips don’t go color-free. It is easy to re-apply, the packaging is beautiful and convenient. They are light-weight too! Love the L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Colors!
