I have been holding on to this hand cream for a long time. I could have finished it long ago but I wanted to savor it. And it is not because this is the most revolutionary hand cream ever but because I love citrus scents and this citrus scent is my favorite and it is not easy to find in hand creams. So let me tell you how The Face Shop Fruit Bowl Lemon hand cream is working out for me!

I love citrus scents. That is probably the reason I love Dolce & Gabbana Light Bloe so much and when I saw the Fruit Bowl Lemon hand cream by The Face Shop, I knew I had to try it. The packaging is, especially on the basis of how it looks, is really cute but for 30ml of product, it is not the most compact thing ever. It can be even labelled a bit chunky, slightly bigger than the Blueberry and Apple hand creams from the same line.
The scent of the hand cream and the packaging are actually the highlight of this products as the texture and consistency is quite average. I do not think it very light weight and is definitely fast-absorbing. But it is pretty moisturizing. When I got it, I used it regulalrly for a few days until we went for a long trip when I got nauseus and used this to keep me from throwing up! I decided right then that I will keep this for travel! And now I use it only when I am travelling (because for some reason, for the past couple of years I have started feeling motion sickness).
Skincare products in tub form, especially hand creams and lip balms, are not my first preference but I usually carry to sniff it every few minutes. There is barely 10% of this hand cream left because I do sometimes apply it and then sniff my hands to keep myself from getting sick (I never thought I would mention these things to anyone ever, but hey publishing this on the internet is totally ok..haha). I doubt that I woud have liked this hand cream so much if I had not invented this new use for it.

For the price and how useful this hand cream is to me, I think it is a bargain! And since I got this in 1+1 offer, I know I got my money’s worth. So basically this is an average hand cream with citrus scent with a “lemon” packaging which is not sleek by any means but cute whatsoever! I will definitely repurchase this for the reasons given above even though I know it contains parabens and added fragrance (two things I do not prefer in my hand creams).

It looks so cute! I would love to try it 🙂
[…] And as usual, I am going to rant about the parabens and added fragrance. I know I bought this hand cream knowing it has added fragrance but those are not the best things in skincare. For less than 5$, I think it is a good product and it works well. It may not be the most moisturizing hand cream out there but its light texture, it is nice and works well. I may not repurchase this because I want to try out more hand creams. I totally love the fact that I got two of the Fruit Bowl hand creams in 1+1 offer. So this one actually just cost me less than 2.5$. I have also reviewed The Face Shop Fruit Bowl Lemon Hand cream, read here. […]
