I have dry skin and most of the Korean skincare products I have seen and tried do not work very well for me because a huge chunk of them are targeted towards Normal to Oily Skin. So when I saw the Nutrifull Shea Butter skincare range at Etude House, I got high hopes! I picked up the Essentializer and the Cream (which comes with a complimentary Sleeping Pack) instantly. I wanted to get the Eye Cream in the skincare range too but resisted as I had just got an Innisfree Eye cream then. This is my second bottle of Etude House Nutrifull Shea Butter Essentializer and I thought I would share my thoughts on it!

I am very particular about what I apply on my skin. Of course I have experimented a lot in the past 1 year to get some idea about Korean skincare products, but I always pay attention to the ingredients list in addition to how the product feels on my skin and what it smells like!
One of the main things that worked in favor of the Nutrifull Shea Butter skincare range is that the products are free of parabens, mineral oil, talc etc. (the things that have been proven to be not-so-good for the skin). Secondly it is targeted towards dry and sensitive skin. I have dry (parched) skin in winter and (mostly) normal skin in summer. So I knew these skincare products will work well for me from October until March in Korea. However, My skin far too dry in December and I had to resort to Cetaphil but during the beginning of winter, the Nutrifull Shea butter Essentializer and Cream worked well for me.
The Essentializer is a face lotion that has essence and moisturizer built in, so that it works as a 2-in-1 skincare product. I did not use any serum/essence/ampoule while using the Essentializer as it was moisturizing and rich enough for my skin. I prefer using minimum number of products on my face so having an essence+moisturizer meant I skipped serum. But my skin did not feel dehydrated.
Out of the three Nutrifull Shea butter products I have used (Cream, Sleeping pack, Essentializer), the Essentializer is my favorite. It is also relatively thinner than the cream and the sleeping pack. The scent is a pretty mild Shea butter scent. All the Nutrifull products in this range are oil based so they are not very light like gel-based skincare products.
The Essentializer is a little bit heavier than standard face moisturizer but it absorbs well into the skin and helps in making dry skin look supple and healthy. It takes a few minutes to seep in but once it is absorbed, it does not feel very heavy.
My complaint with the Essentializer is the packaging!
The packaging is good to look at and it comes with a pump, in fact I liked the cute little bottle but the pump did not perform after the first week for me. I had to scoop out the lotion using the pipe end of the pump everyday until I just could not get it out anymore. I first thought it was the bottle I got that didn’t work but when I got another one (since I liked the product), it also stopped working soon after I opened it. So maybe the pump is cheap.

I have bought the Etude House Nutrifull Essentializer 3 times, twice for myself and once for the Giveaway I held during April. I really liked the product but sadly the packaging let me down. And for the amount of product I think it is affordable since it is an essence and moisturizer in one so it sort of saves money!
