5 Simple Ways to Style Boots in Fall and Winter

Boots are my preferred choice of footwear for fall and winter. My winters in South Korea will always be fondly remembered for my gorgeous snow-clad strolls near Tancheon stream and my perfect shoe collection 😉 I have since added a few more pairs of boots to my collection that make it easy for me to style my winter outfits. With my shoe collection sorted, I can plan my outfits without any worries since I have boots that will match any outfit perfectly.
Here are 5 simple ways I pair my outfits with boots:
Knee High Boots

I had a pair of black knee-high boots from H&M that worked with all my woollen jeggings, skinny jeans and printed leggings that I rocked with oversized sweaters and tunics. If I am wearing a tunic or a short dress, I love to wear black tights and complete the outfit with these boots. Since these are flat, I can walk miles in them without getting tired.
I have small feet and full leather knee-high boots do not fit me well. I have to go one size up. These ones have elastic and buckles that make for a comfortable fit. You have already seen these boots in my outfit posts here and here.
I am planning to add a pair of black platform boots to my collection for days when I want to look taller 😉
Calf-length Furry Snow Boots

I had a tan coloured pair of furry boots that was a good replica of UGG boots. I try to go cruelty-free so these faux fur boots were really warm, comfortable and stylish without causing any harm to the animals. I do not have these boots anymore since I gave them away while leaving South Korea. Here are a couple of pics of me rocking them in the snow.
I used to love to pair them with dresses, overcoats and woollen tights. Since these did not have heels, I loved taking long walks wearing them. I planned my outfit of the day based on how much I had to walk and then choose the best shoes for the activity. And being the comfort-loving gal that I am, I usually wore these snow boots when I wanted to take a walk after a snowfall.
Wedge Sneakers

If I could, I would live in Oversized Hoodies in winter!

My husband chose a pair of sneakers for me in South Korea from a popular brand. I did not like them at first but he insisted that I buy them to wear with my jeggings. I was not sure but I still bought them since I had never owned wedge sneakers before. And boy am I glad I did! I have rocked them for over 4 years and they are still going strong. I wash them every few months to keep them looking clean. I think these sneakers always make me look the right amount of cool and stylish!

The main advantage of wearing these sneakers is that they make me look taller. Since I usually wear them with my dark blue jeggings or jeans, these sneakers make my legs appear longer and slimmer too.
Hidden Platform Boots

I got this pair of platform boots from Ginger (available at Shopper’s Stop). These boots look great with western as well as ethnic wear. I loved that I could wear jeans, jeggings or even cropped pants with these boots. The heel is hidden but it gave me a good lift 😉 It is also quite comfortable to walk in these shoes. Since I had more black accessories at the time when I bought these, I decided to invest in a jacket in the same shade as the shoes to create some sort of combination!

Ivory/White Platform Boots

Time for a wishlist item. I feel that wearing ivory or white platform boots in India may not be a bright idea since they can get dirty easily. However, I have still always wanted to own a pair of white platform boots. If I ever get a pair (which I think I will at some point in the near future), I will go for one that I can wear in summer too. I will probably choose a pair of white booties and rock them a white tee and denim outfit.
I love wearing boots to keep my feet warm and to look stylish at the same time. Comfort is always high on my mind when I purchase footwear. I love wearing heels but since I develop pain near the ball of my feet easily, I always prefer platform boots. They look great and provide support to the feet. There are so many high heel platform boots on the market that look great and are comfortable to walk in. I only have a couple of pumps for dressier occasions since I practically wear ballet flats and boots regularly.
