When it comes to skincare products, I think people with combination skin face far more problems than people with other skin types. We cannot use something too hydrating else it can lead to breakouts and something too light makes the skin appear flaky. I do not think it is practical to apply two different products every single day to the oily and dry parts of the face. Forest Essentials Light Hydrating Pure Rosewater Facial Gel comes in a thick clear plastic tub with a gold lid. The packaging is quite sturdy even though hygiene-enthusiasts may frown upon the tub packaging. The tub does come with a small plastic stopper that can prevent the gel from spilling. The tub is housed in a cardboard box that carries a lot of details about the product.
I do not remember whether the gel came with a spatula or not since I have been using it for over 3 months and might have lost it. I have been using it by dipping my finger into the gel to apply it. I think the tub packaging can make this product get oxidised faster because it is exposed to the air frequently. Moving on. The gel itself is transparent with a hint of pink hue. It looks so beautiful!

And the scent is to die for. The rose-based products from the brand, including the Forest Essentials Facial Tonic Mist, smell heavenly. It is not overpowering and yet potent enough to please the senses. I do not think the scent lingers long (I would not mind if it did though). The gel itself is light-weight and gets absorbed easily. A little bit goes a long way. I have been using this facial gel for over 3 months and there is still quite a bit left, probably enough to last me another month.
Since it is light-weight and yet moisturising, this skincare product is perfect for all skintypes even in summer. I do think it will not be enough for me in winter (dry skin issues) but it can work great at a serum or pre-moisturiser type of product for me. I am totally going to repurchase it.

I am in love with this Forest Essentials facial gel. I am totally going to try out the other facial gel products from the brand – Pure Aloe Vera facial gel even though I know my tendency to fall for the rose scent. I highly recommend the Forest Essentials Facial Massage Gel – Pure Rosewater to everyone especially for the upcoming monsoon season. It works great along with the Forest Essentials Facial Tonic Mist Pure Rosewater.
