Plus Size Fashion: Tan Jacket and Booties
Hi everyone, I have done something I had planned to do for the first time ever in my life! Usually, being a list maker and a goal setter, I set a lot of goals and make a lot of lists. Despite my best efforts, I accomplish everything else except the things on my to-do list, goals list, etc. But before the winter arrived, I had promised myself that I will buy stuff in colors other than black. I specifically wanted to have boots and a jacket in the same color family, if not in the color. And I did it. I must have looked stupid carrying a tan jacket in Lifestyle stores two floors up to the shoes section. Thankfully, I found a close match. And I bought it right then. I am quite happy with this accomplishment. I could not wait to wear these so here are a couple of outfits featuring my Gipsy jacket and Ginger boots!
Outfit #1 details:
Tan jacket – Gipsy
Tan wedge booties – Ginger
Yellow Top – Limeroad
Black Treggings – Zara
On my lips – Lakme 9 to 5 lipstick in Red Coat
Since the color of my boots and jacket fell in the warm-toned color category, I decided to wear a top in the same color. My Limeroad yellow top with white lace at the neckline worked perfectly for this outfit. My brown treggings did not work well so I changed and added a pair of black treggings from Zara to this outfit. They are comfortable, shiny and fit me well.
To complete the outfit, I put on gold accessories, my Titan watch and H&M hoop earrings. Red was the obvious choice for lipstick. I am only wearing lipstick and thin eyeliner in these photos. That is usually what I do when I get ready for office.

Another outfit featuring my tan jacket and boots combination, I got this kurta from Trends on the New Year’s Eve. I love this shade and I think it worked well with the jacket and boots. I love pairing my kurta and leggings with boots in winter so this outfit is something you will see me wearing frequently.
Black used to be my color for winter especially since I had so many wardrobe items in black including accessories. It was so easy to mix and match stuff but I have gotten bored of black (not really but you know what I mean, I want other colors in my winter wardrobe too).
The main reason behind matching a pair of shoes and jacket was that I wanted to have an easier time putting together an outfit. And it totally works. I have worn this jacket with black boots and my black or navy jacket with these boots. All of the outfits look slightly varied. That was not the case when I have three different pairs of black boots and jackets since the whole look always appeared “just black”.
