I am leaving for a beach holiday today and by the time this post goes up, I will be on my way to Gyeongpo beach! I had been waiting for the monsoon to slow down a little before planning to visit a beach. It rained all July so we waited for quite a long time before we started seeing the sun everyday in August. The beaches officially close in the end of August so this is our chance to explore the East coast of South Korea! According to many other tourists, East coast beaches in South Korea are way more beautiful than west coast beaches; in fact the beaches Sokcho, Naksan, Gyeongpo and Jeongdongjin beach which are considered the most beautiful in mainland Korea (excluding Jeju island beaches) are on the east coast.
We plan to visit Gyeongpo beach on Saturday (today) and go to the next nearest beach to Gyeongpo tomorrow – most probably Sokcho or Naksan beach. So anyway enough of my blah blah and excitement for the trip, here are the few things I packed for my 2 day beach holiday!
Nature Republic Daily Powerful Sun Cream SPF50 PA+++,
Oriflame Pure Nature Aloe Vera and Arnica Extract soothing gel,
Mise en Scene Shampoo and Rinse (conditioner) set,
Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash,
Oriflame Optimals Cleansing Milk in Travel bottle,
Etude House Shea Butter Nutrifull Sleeping Mask,
Nature Republic CC cream (sample),
CNP laboratory sun cream (sample),
Beyond Go Back night cream (samples) – 2,
Etude House White Moistfull face cream (sample),
Lakme Fantasy Shimmer Eyeliner in Midnight Moon,
Maybelline Baby Lips color – Poppy Red,
L’Oreal Paris Color Appeal Duo in 219 Smoky Brown
I do not know if this looks too less or too much to someone else but this is what I needed for my beach holiday. In my opinion, having a waterproof eyeliner, mascara and tinted lip balm is enough for makeup for a beach vacation, I carried the eye shadow duo just in case we go some place nice for dinner.
Shampoo, conditioner and Aloe vera gel are must haves along with a powerful sunscreen for anyone going to the beach! I am wheatish in complexion but I tan (and burn) easily so I also carry my hat and sunglasses alongwith my sunscreen. We plan on doing water sports so I will have to carry the sunscreen with me at all times. The sun is going to harsh and the temperature is expected to be 32 to 34 degrees!
I do not like to get tanned, that is so typically Asian of me, and I hope I do not get very tanned. I plan to enjoy my holiday so I will not sweat about it but right now as I pack I am thinking about the tanning that happened in Jeju (in June) and is yet to go away!
I love the samples Korean beauty brands give out and I collect them till I go to a holiday. It is a great way to carry products to treat your skin while carrying a light luggage! See you after the vacation! What do you like to carry in your beach bag?
