REVIEW:
L’Oreal le Smoky eyeliner comes in a two-sided black pencil packaging with eyeliner on one side and a stiff smudger on the other side. It has plastic lids protecting the pencil and the smudger. The pencil, therefore, looks longer than other eyeliners. I like the black body and gold print packaging of this eyeliner.
The pencil looks deep black in color but gives a medium black opaque finish. It is comparable to L’Oreal Paris Kajal Magique in pigmentation even though the color appears to be a closer match to the L’Oreal Paris Kajal Magique Bold. Both are black but the Kajal Magique is “less black” than L’Oreal Kajal Magique Bold.

It is not the creamiest eyeliner out there but slides like any average drugstore eyeliner. It is a mechanical pencil that you need to sharpen since it wears out fast. I have used it on my waterline, tightline as well as above my upper lashline and in all of the cases, I felt like it transferred a lot and smudged as well. By the end of the day, it vanished from many parts of my eye. Sigh!
The Le Smoky eyeliner looks best when it is freshly applied. It starts fading right away and never really sets. If you are planning to wear it all day long, you might have to reapply it every 3-4 hours. I have oily eyelids and water-y eyes so bear in mind that your experience might be slightly different than mine.
FOTD featuring L’Oreal Le Smoky Eyeliner:

Overall, I have tried so many eyeliners and feel like this one is nothing special. I actually really love the L’Oreal Kajal Magique Bold. The best part is that it is cheaper than the Le Smoky eyeliner. There are other shades (sin are listed on Nykaa) available in this range but I am not really considering trying them out. I would rather get a few shades of the L’Oreal Silkissime eyeliners.
