Shiseido Spotscover Foundation – Review, Swatches!

One of the major issue I have when it comes to makeup is hiding my dark circles. I have dry skin so flakiness is another issue I deal with often, however, I find that handling my dark circles well is still trickier. I have tried concealers in cream and liquid form from different brands. One of the best that has worked as a concealer is the Shiseido Spotscover Foundation. I have had it (and repurchased it) for about 3 years now and love it a lot. Read on for my detailed review.

Shiseido Spotscover Foundation comes in a white plastic tub packaging with a twist open lid. The packaging is quite compact and travel-friendly though not very hygienic. The consistency of this foundation is very thick and it acts as a medium to full coverage concealer.
I got the shade S101 which matches my NC 35 skin perfectly. I have tried using this to cover the broken veins around my nose, dark circles under my eyes and various occasional pimples and blemishes. It works well on all of them. Being so creamy, it needs to be set with a powder to make it last all day long. It has slightly warm undertone which works great to cover dark circles. No other concealer has worked so well for my under eye area.
I feel like my skin looks near-perfect, despite not being so, when I use the Shiseido Spotscover foundation. it is so opaque that you can cover any blemishes, scars or breakouts with this creamy concealer. I have no idea why this is called a foundation, it is too heavy to be used all over the face.

It looks really flawless on the skin when blended well and you only need a little amount at a time. The first one I got lasted me for over 2 years. I threw it away when I got scared that it would have gotten expired. It was still working well and the texture had not changed but I still discarded it. I immediately repurchased it. The only issue that I have with this product is the availability (plus the unhygienic tub packaging), else it is a winner makeup product. It is my HG concealer!

Shiseido Spotscover foundation is the best concealer you will get. The availability can be an issue but you can still order it from Amazon. I will highly recommend it to everyone. It helps cover the pores and other imperfections of the face as well for a perfect skin look.
